The EWB-Jacksonville Professionals Chapter (EWB-JAX) visited the Nebaj Region of Guatemala during an assessment trip in September 2009 to collaborate with Agua Para La Salud (APS) and determine which projects were community priorities. It was determined that a water distribution project in Visibakvitz was best suited for EWB-JAX’s experience and potential funds. The villagers of Visibakvitz currently walk about 15 minutes down a mountain to a shared water tank and 2 washing stations to fill water containers for their homes (more….)
